IWD; Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA discribes women as an important factor to Nation Building.
The Honourable Commissioner of Finance,Budget and Economic Planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA in his message of felicitation to commemorate the 2022 International women's day, discribed women as unique creatures whose peaceful demeanour, supportive strength, innate capability and innovative ideas is indescribable, saying they are important factor to engender a working Nation.
He said, as this years theme states "Break The Bias", there is need to collectively challenge gender bias and inequality. In his words" i celebrate all Nigerian women, especially those who are already in the forefront of breaking all bias that has long hindered the growth, expansion and exploits by the women folks.
Gloria Steinem once explained, “The story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights.” Therefore, our collective action and raised voices on societal issues are the very essence of creating an equal and inclusive future.
"They are the ones lighting up paths for their folk to follow, and exemplarily shattering glass ceilings to remind each girl of her innate potential to blossom with bias".
The Honourable Commissioner however said, this years international women day theme is an acute opposite of the giant strides of Governor Yahaya Bello led administration vis-a-vis her gender inclusiveness and the front role women had taken in leadership in the state cum policy formulation for growth.
He thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for always making the difference and raising the bar of good governance premised on the tripod stance of equity, inclusiveness and fairness. Today in Kogi state, the quest for a greater and working confluence state is a collective task, no one is left behind, especially the Women folks.
Be rest assured of your defining role, especially in Kogi state and always remember your are important, powerful and worthy because you have contributed immensely to societal growth.
