DIVISIVE TENDENCIES OF STATE ACTORS TOWARDS THE IMMINENT IMPLOSION OF YAGBA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY APC: AN OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY. 

There is a yoruba adage that says that " An head that is will end in doom will normally start with pains in the neck region". 

Your Excellency sir, this is the case of the Kogi State APC particularly in Yagba federal constituency. Sir, it is no longer news that you have contested the just concluded APC presidential primaries and have made us proud as a people even though the outcomes were not so favourable. It was however a giant leap for the entire North central region. 

Analysts have one after the other analysed what might have led to such loss with special reference to the number of votes gathered when compared to the total delegates at the possession of our beloved state. 

Sir, I will like to give you a clue. Those saddled with the responsibilities of running the affairs of the party and governance in general have failed you. They have failed you by directing all energies that was needed to persecute your presidential bid into thier own personal "Governorship Venture". 

For instance sir, you gave instructions that affirmation should be carried out across all LGAs in Kogi state with an exception of cases where some clauses were attached. But to our  amazement, many of your appointees went against that instructions with particular pointer to Yagba federal constituency where a special adviser to you on youths and students came home to implement a change in the names of existing excos in some local government areas with him dropping your name as the person who sent him. 

Many of the persons that were dropped were hardworking party members in the three local government and were all replaced with strangers who never knew where the journey started. 

This they did and submitted same to the state chairman of the party and later passed as affirmation. 

Sir, this over zealous aide of yours in person of the Special Adviser on Youths and Students have been going about peddling lies that you have handed over the reigns of power to your Chief of Staff who he said would later become the governor of the state. 

As much as everyone has a right to an ambition, it is very important to state that a house divided against itself will never stand. 

Sir, it is good for you to know that all political considerations have excluded the party leadership in the zone without recourse to those who worked hard to ensure your victory. All this because of an ambition. 

Sir, political considerations have been reduced to whoever have the loudest DJ equipments to hype and sing praises. This is a departure from what used to be obtainable. 

Yagba East in particular have witnessed the highest level of impunity by this Aide of yours who sees every opportunity as an avenue to market the governorship ambition of a top government aide. This is a local government that has the SSG and Commissioner for finance as leaders who have invested heavily in the party and its members. The finance commissioner have remained one of the reasons why many party faithfuls have not left the APC for other parties. This is a local government where the member of the house of reps representing Yagba federal constituency hails from in a locally strong opposition party. 

Sir, be it as it may, you can still save this party from the impending destruction by this elements within your circles who have breeder more enemies than friend for you in the past few years. 

Sir, you have a name to protect and your legacies must never be destroyed. Kindly take neccesary steps to savage the party.
