Workers' Day; Hon Emmanuel Obaro, a member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, commended the dedication and commitment of the state's workers, emphasizing their critical role in the development of Kogi State.
"In a statement released for the holiday, Hon Obaro praised the workers for their tireless efforts in advancing the development and progress of Kogi State."
"On this Workers' Day, we pay tribute to all the hardworking men and women who have contributed so much to the growth and success of our great state," he said.
The lawmaker also highlighted the sacrifices made by the workers, especially given the current economic challenges facing the state.
"Despite the difficulties and challenges we face, our workers have remained steadfast and committed to their duties," he said. "They are the backbone of our state's economy, and we owe them a debt of gratitude."
Hon Obaro called on the state government to continue prioritizing the welfare of workers, including providing adequate remuneration, improving working conditions, and ensuring their safety and security.
The lawmaker also emphasized the need for the government to create an enabling environment for workers to thrive, particularly in the private sector.
