A PDP Stewart from Odogbe, ward 10 of Yagba East has finally bid a farewell to his former party, today 12th January, 2021, in a colourful ceremony at the party secretariat, Isanlu.

The Executive Chairman Hon Abdulrazaq Asiru Ijagbemi in his reception speech describes the defection of the Elder Balogun as a  timely decision and a heavy blow to the opposition party, PDP. The council boss told him that it is better late than never and assured him that in  APC there is no discrimination, everyone is provided with a level playing ground and that he should join Elders Forum in the party to make meaningful contribution to the growth of the party. The decampee tagged the PDP as a stagnant ship and he was not ready to be stagnated  and therefore decided to swim with the tide of change.

He promised to be loyal to the party and make his wealth of experience available to the party at all times.

The local government party chairman of APC, Hon Kehinde Atteh, JP, officially received him into the APC family and handed over to him the party flag and a broom which are the official symbols of the party.

The colourful ceremony was attended by other party big wigs among whom are, the secretary to the local government, Hon Joshua Dare Monday, former council Boss, Hon Ekundayo Balogun, Engr Ladun Osasona, Councillors, Supervisors, Stakeholders and members of the press.
