The above named union led by *COMR. ATANDA VICTORIA ADEBISI*  carried out a PVC CAMPAIGN TO SENSITIZE AND EDUCATE students of senior secondary school starting with TITCOMBE COLLEGE (E.C.W.A) EGBE, YAGBA WEST, TODAY 27TH OF JANUARY,2022. 

It is one of our rights  "to vote and be voted for". Our vote is our strength, it is essential to get our PVC so we can choose who to represent and rule us. 

Alongside, the union also donated copies of notebooks to the school courtesy of the National President, National Association of Okun Students, *Comr. Adeyemi Babarinde Sunday* as part of donations gotten from the *Babatunde Irukera Foundation* to be shared among the students across okunland who are less privileged and unable to get their complete notebooks. The notebooks were  PRESENTED TO ELDER AWARUN, the Vice Principal (Academic) in the absence of the School Principal, MR ONIRINWA who was in a meeting when the team arrived the school.

With all delightfulness and huge sense of fulfilment as one of the foot soldiers of the New Direction administration, I join patriotic kogites in all walks of life, APC party faithfuls, well wishers and legion of supporters across the Nation to celebrate the giant strides and progress made in the confluence state by His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello and his Deputy, Chief Edward David Onoja, as today marks the 2nd year anniversary in the 2nd term of the New Direction Government.

It will always remain indelible in my heart as one of the privilege hand to serve under His Excellency, with the sole aim of adding value to the livelihood of Kogites and change the gory story of the confluence state. Crystal clear, 6 years down the line, the job is far done than little left undone. Thank you your Excellency for the rare but cherished privilege.

Today, January 27th, brings back the memory of 6 years from the mark and two years down the line in the second term, when the vast majority of Kogites gave a full nod to the continuity of the New Direction administration, but with the promise to do more. Without micing words, alot more has been achieved under the leadership of His Excellency in the passionate quest to make Kogi a developmental hub and a shining light amongst committee of states.

Today, Kogi state is unarguably one of the safest state in the Nation despite been bordered by 10 states including FCT. The walls of religion intolerance and ethnic chauvinism has been totally broken, we now see ourselves first as Kogites. The "Lets do more" tsunami has swept invariably all sectors in the state, with massive impact on the citizens, as a way of fulfilling the day one promise of using the resources of the people for their collective good. Today, the majority of Kogites can attest to the transformative change in the Health sector, towards Education advancement, Agricultural renaissance and the unprecedented turn around in the infrastructure base of the state, especially road networks. Your Excellency, more of Good Governance has truly been engendered by your purposeful leadership in the confluence state.

Your Excellency, as a consumate accountant that your are, you have led the state into the good books of a reputable institution like World bank in terms of Transparency, Accountability and efficiency in our financial management, ditto the sound fiscal outlook we now have, despite the reckless malfeasance perpetrated in the past which has place our financial indices in jeopardy. In all spheres, you have led from the front and we kept on breaking barriers and emerging frontiers as a result of your leadership ingenuity and your courage to dare the status quo.

We started well, we are steadily moving on the progressive path, we can be sure we shall finish strong, which will serve as a launch pad to the Greater pedestal of leadership, calling for the replicate of committed service as seen in Kogi state. With your midas touch your Excellency, Kogi is far apart what it used to be in the past vis-a-vis the status of an obscure state, we are now always in the news for progressive reasons, this absolutely validate you as a change maker and a transformative leader of note.

The remaining 2 years would be for more work, because it's often said that the "Reward for Good work is More Work". With you, your Proactive deputy and the dutiful New Direction team at the helms, we can be sure arrays of people oriented democratic dividends would be delivered

I can only pray that God Almighty will continually grant you the needed impetus, divine wisdom, sound mind, great strength and increased leadership acumen to berth Kogi state safely to a Greater height and replicate same at the National stage. Amin

It is with a grateful heart to The Almighty Allah, the owner and driver of our lives that I congratulate you, our leader and dear Governor of Kogi State on your 2nd term, two years celebration in office. The landmark success you have achieved throughout these years is nothing but an inspiration to all and sundry. It has been a very great privilege to work with your Excellency.

A leader who is diligent, passionate, goal-driven, hard working and always ready to serve the interest of the good people of Kogi State.

You have been diligently consistent all the years through hard work, passion, and commitment.  You are a good role model who I have known to be very supportive and responsive. 

We appreciate you for your consistency, passion, quota and commitment to our great State. Having a leader like you is a matter of ultimate gratitude and pride. The Executive Chairman of Yagba East LGA. Hon. Asiru Abdulrasaq Ijagbemi has commended Governor Yahaya Bello and Kogi state government for prioritizing the health needs of people in rural areas.

The council boss Expressed that the healthcare initiative will relieve the vulnerable in the society.

This is a great gesture from the present administration, and we will like to appeal to those who are present today to get the information across to those who are not here today to make use of this rare opportunity for proper diagnosis and treatment.

For the records, this initiative is proudly sponsored by the state government and totally free, and we are not expecting anybody to be charged for it. Please, do well to inform those who couldn’t register their presence today not to give a dime to anyone as regards to this free healthcare as the state government has taken care of that,” he said.

The Executive Chairman of Yagba East LGA, urged residents to conduct themselves in peaceful and orderly manner, appealing that they allow elders and nursing mothers be attended to first before considering the younger ones amongst them.

FEDERATION OF YAGBA WEST STUDENT UNION, CLEAR AIR ON MISS OKUN SAYS ; We are not amazed by the action of the self acclaimed Senate President in person of one Adebowale Solomon, we are used to his wayward lifestyle, the truth is not far fetch that he Solomon Adebowale is the one behind the long term NAOS crisis over the years, we want to bring to the notice of the general public that this is not the first time he Solomon Adewale is causing division in NAOS, it was this same Adebowale Solomon who brought thugs and destructed the last NAOS national convention that was held last year at Kabba and he is about to advance his violent divisional behaviour on the just concluded MISS OKUN CONTEST due to the fact that his plans to hijack the program for his candidate to emerge was not permitted by the Students and meaningful stakeholders of the Association who took their time to be part of the success of the program.

It is no more a news that there are some group of people lead by one Adebowale Solomon to bring down the names of HON. KUNLE OLA, COMR. OMOSONA T. OLAKUNLE (TY DOT) and Owoniyi Olasunkanmi Jethro due to their failed plan to hijack the 2022 Miss Okun Conducted on the 8th of January 2022 at Yagba West Civic Centre Odo-Ere.

The painful aspect is that Adebowale Solomon who is suppose to be the one to ensure Laws and the constitution of NAOS is adhere to as the Senate President is the same person violating and doing everything possible to turn NAOS constitution upside down 

We are warning and advising  Adebowale Solomon and his co-evil plotters in their best interest to desist from instigating the masses, defaming the character and trying to pull down some of our highly respected Comrade and leaders who has served NAOS Meritoriously and immediately tender an open apology to our leaders *Hon. Kunle Ola, Comr. Omosona T. Olakunle (TYDot), Owoniyi Olasunkanmi Jethro* and leave them

out of their artificial crisis that they are causing for  NAOS and they should desist from misleading the general public as the *AUTHENTIC WINNER OF MISS OKUN 2021/2022 CROWN IS QUEEN JIMOH JULIET OLUWAGBOTEMI* as any other person parading herself as Miss Okun is nothing but an impersonator, she should desist now or face the law.

However, we will like to make some clarifications with clear evidence below in the interest of the general public:

For fairness, equality and justice a Six (6) man panel of judges was set up respectively from the six axis of Okun Land as stipulated in the constitution and the axis are as follows:

1. Bunu Axis

2. Kabba Axis

3. Ijumu Axis

4. MopaMuro Axis

5. Yagba East Axis and

6. Yagba West Axis

The judges was headed as the Chief Judge by Hon Comrade Kunle Ola who represented the Yagba West Axis as announced by the National President Comrade Adeyemi Babarinde Sunday.

They Started and ended with four appearances by the 3 Contestants.

The contest was fair, transparent and everything went well.

The program was successful and at the end of the contest a winner was announced in person of Queen Jimoh Juliet Oluwagbotemi as the winner of the contest and the new Miss Okun for the year 2021/2022 with a percentage mark of 85% while contestant No 3 who came second with a percentage point of 83% in the contest in person of Miss Mopelola who hail from Ijumu was announced as the Miss Okun Elegance for the year 2021/2022 and finally the Contestant No 2 in person of Miss Endurance who hail from Bunu came 3rd with a percentage point of 79% was announced as Miss Okun Culture and all this results was announced by the Chief Judge in the presence of every other Judge and all the Students who were in the beauty contest program.

The judges who decided to honored me Comrade Atanda Victoria Adebisi the National President of Federation of Yagba West Student Union as the only female National President from Okun Land who was on ground to crown Queen Jimoh Juliet Oluwagbotemi as the New Miss Okun for the year 2021/2022.

After the privilege given to me to crown the New Miss Okun everyone celebrated and left to their various houses peacefully without any form of rancor from any student and lovers of students that were on ground .

To my surprise in the following morning I came across a post from Adebowale Solomon attached with the picture of Miss Mopelola who was announced as Miss Okun Elegance at the Succesful Miss Okun 2021/2022 held on the 8th of January 2022 with a crown on her head and she was been addressed as the authentic Miss Okun 2021/2022 as against the announcement made by the Judges at the Successful Miss Okun program headed by Hon Comrade Kunle Ola as the Chief Judge who announced the results and declare Miss Mopelola as Miss Okun Elegance. 

Adebowale Solomon came up with his hidden plan to congratulate one Miss Mopelola as the winner of the contest all in the name to mislead the general public and making a false claim that the contest was manipulated.

He also stated that Mis Mopelola got her 3 questions and others got 2 out of their 3 questions  forgetting the fact that a beauty pageant winner is not only determined by just the questions asked alone but with so many things .

Miss Jimoh Oluwagbotemi of Yagba West due to her exceptional performances, beautiful attires, fluently outspoken words, boldness, captivity dancing steps and adorable looks on her was able to convince the judges to emerge as the winner of the contest and the one who deserves to wear the crown.

She was declared the winner of the contest base on the collation of results done by the judges. 

Queen Jimoh Juliet Oluwagbotemi was declared the winner and crowned at the venue of the event, one will now wonder how come he Adebowale Solomon came across his own fake results that he has been flying up and down in order to mislead the general public.

In conclusion i will say that this very brief explanation for intelligent sons and daughters of Okun Land to actually know who is the true winner of the contest and the true picture of what transpired at the program as against the misleading information Adebowale Solomon has formed to mislead the respected sons and daughters of Okun Land and lovers of Okun Land.

Finally, we want to states that every impersonators should stay clear or face the wrath of the law as we will not take any form of impersonation with levity and anyone found wanting will face the law.
